Nancy Herrin

Nancy Naumann Herrin, 59, passed away Dec. 17, 2003, at her home in Kalispell.
She was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Kalispell to George and May (Vogler) Naumann.
She attended Half Moon Elementary and Flathead High School, graduating from the University of Montana with a pharmacy degree in 1967. While at the University of Montana, she met Dennis Franklin Herrin, Jr. They were married on Aug. 22, 1968, in Las Vegas, Nev. She then became a pharmacist and he was a teacher, and they worked in various towns in Idaho and Montana. They had their first child, a little girl, Sabrina, in Townsend in 1971. The three of them moved to Alaska, where they built a log cabin. Their second child was a son, Jason; he was born in Soldotna, Alaska in 1974.
In 1976, her husband died. They then moved back to the Flathead Valley in 1980, buying a farm outside of Kila. After five years, they moved back into town, in 1985. She was an active volunteer locally for the Democratic Party. She always kept her hands busy by sewing, quilting, knitting and playing cards, but would really relax by listening to various opera music.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, John Naumann; a nephew, Scott Pollinger; a niece, Nina Fredenberg; her son, Jason Herrin, of Utrecht, The Netherlands; a daughter, Sabrina Herrin, of Pearland, Texas; four brothers, Virgil, Ralph, Carl and George Naumann; two sisters, Jean Fredenberg and Liz Jones; her aunt, Helen Kaeding; two sweet granddaughters, Piper and Electra Schroeder; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service was held Dec. 22, 2003, at the Johnson Mortuary Chapel, with burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be given to the donor's choice of any local Democratic Party.
