John Nelson Biard:
Buried: UNKNOWN, Limestone Co., AL (on his farm, now Ripley Cemetary )
Notes:
Moved to Limestone Co., AL, in 1818. All his children married here. Killed while working on the first government project at Muscle Shoals on the Tennessee River in northern Alabama. Buried on his farm.
Gravestone still on Black or Ripley farm (near Ripley school) in 1950.
"Named Nelson for his mother's family. She was said to be related to Thomas Nelson, the Signer of the Declaration of Independence." (from "The Biard Family" by Maud Biard Smith)
Rebecca Stone:
Buried: UNKNOWN, Antioch Cemetary, Biardstown, Texas
Notes:
First person to be buried in Antioch Cemetary near Biardstown, just south of Paris. Joseph Ligon Chapter, D.A.R., dedicated and placed a marker to Rebecca, next to her tombstone, as the daughter of a Revolutionary soldier. Antioch Cemetary is a Texas state Historical site.
