Distinguished for bravery in battle of White Plains, New York. Came from Chester (Chichester) to Rumney in 1773.

Came from Chester. We have no proof that Sarah Pierce actually married Henry, but the intent was published in 1780.

Probably died in 1786, as Rev. Josiah Badcock’s “Record of Deaths in Andover (NH) from 1782 to 1831” contains the listing on Jan. 29, 1786 that “Mr. Hawle lost his wife.”
