Moved to North Carolina with his father, then to Washington Co., VA and, by 1791, to Madison Co., KY., p. 29.
In May, 1791," he appears on muster roll of the county militia stationed at Edward Stevenson's on Paint Lick, which had been detached from the company commanded by Lieutenant Hodges of the First Battalion of Kentucky Ranagers. A warrant was issued on 14 Jan 1794 to pay the men stationed in 1793 "on the frontiers of Madison County under the command of Sergt. Thomas Skidmore.'", pp. 29-30.
Will signed on 23 Nov 1802, proved on 3 Oct 1803, administrator's bond signed (by wife Charity) 6 Aug 1804. , p. 30.
