Marriage; Church records
After Isaac fled to Canada Mary was left with 10 children, 6 of them small. She continued to aid the British, and she and the children were taken from their home at North River, New York, by the Americans. They were marched 80 miles and left in destitute circumstances. Mary and the children made their way to Canada and the Montreal by July 1779. They received food rations, lodging and blankets until 1782 when they settled in the Niagara area as impoverished Loyalists.
