The first name of Morris was gleaned from a letter to Leslie Dewy from his mother Helen (Bower) Van Valkinburgh in 1927. Copies were made on 2-25-2000 and in my possession.

A return address for Mrs. Leslie Van Valkinburgh (Mildred), from Leslie Dewy, June 10, 1927, lists 4023 Broadway, Everett, Washington, c/o Morris Holton.

Notes:
Carrie was a witness to Leslie Van Valkinburgh and Mildred Anderson's marriage and signed her name Mrs. Carrie Anderson, indicating that she was still an Anderson in 1923.

A receipt for Carrie's grave plot, purchased by her daughter Mildred (Anderson) Van Valkinburgh shows a purchase date of 02 Feb. 1961 and an interment date of 04 Feb, 1961. Grave Location is Lot 16, block 58, Section A, Forest Cemetery, Coeur D' Alene, Idaho. The full price for burial was $175.

A death certificate ordered in May 2000 reveals date of death, but nothing on parents, no confirmation of birth place other than Minnesota. It did reveal that she was a widow, so Morris Holton must have passed on before 1961. The certificate shows her staying 8 days in Pinewood Manor prior to her death of heart failure.

September 2004,
Caroline's middle name finally revealed in a letter found in an old 1908 physician's reference book. Dated 1979, it is a letter from Caroline's daughter, Mildred, giving the book to her son William Franklin Van Valkinburgh. She notes that her mother sold these books door to door "long before I was born in 1908"
