Diane Van Valkinburgh, Rockford, WA

Service for Diane Van Valkinburgh, 41, will be at 10 a.m. today at the Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pines Cemetery.

Ms. Van Valkinburgh, who was born in Coeur d'Alene, died Monday. She graduated from University High School and worked as a database coordinator in the computer industry. She moved to Rockford four years ago and helped in the development of the SCOPE (Sheriff's Community Oriented Policing Effort) program in Rockford.

Ms. Van Valkinburgh is survived by a son, Ryan Van Valkinburgh of Rockford; her father, Stanley Van Valkinburgh of Spokane; a brother, Dan Van Valkinburgh of Spokane; and two sisters, Lynda Liere of Gilroy, Calif., and Marsha Schwartzenberger of Spokane
