William Bruce Groll, 71

William Bruce Groll, 71, of Fortuna, Mo., passed away Aug. 5, 2007. He was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Randolph, Utah, the son of William J. Groll and Donna (McKinnon) Groll.
Bruce was a cowboy, pipeline, foreman, logger, commercial fisherman, trapper and excavator. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. Bruce's favorite job in past years was serving as a Temple worker. His most cherished roles in life were husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He married Rose Dean June 18, 1954 in Randolph, Utah.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Groll of the home; daughter, Lauwanna LaRue of Linn Creek, Mo.; sons, Wally Groll of Ulman, Mo., Rusty Groll of Tontitown, Ark.; and Terry Groll of Tipton, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, John Groll of Salt Lake City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Aug. 8, at Philips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo., and one hour prior to services Aug. 9. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Aug. 9, at Church of the Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Eldon.
Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery in Linn Creek, Mo.
Memorials may be made in care of the family, P.O. Box 54, Fortuna, MO 65034.
