"Johann, Christina, Barbara and John Moser immigrated to the USA on the vessel Monlford. They left Seebach, Russia and went to Jerleber, Holland, where they boarded the ship. They arrived at Port Huron, Michigan on June 26, 1910. John Sr. and John Jr. both had immigration papers, with the same information regarding the vessel, point of departure and arrival".

John Moser Sr., b. 1847 in South Russia, d. January 20, 1932 in Pettibone, North Dakota (buried in cemetery at the German Lutheran Church 8 miles North of town after a short service by Rev. August Pera on the 22nd) He was married to Christina Christman on May 25, 1870. He came to the USA June 28th, 1910, locating at Heaton, North Dakota. In 1915 he homesteaded Northwest of Pettibone, living there until 1921, when he moved to Pettibone. They had 13 children. Survivors included his wife, 6 children, 56 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The surviving children were: (in newspaper article order)

The first 5 were living in the Pettibone vicinity whereas John was living at Nisland, South Dakota.

"There is some controversy in my mind regarding the assignment of Sr. and Jr. in this instance because the above listed Jr. had a son named John Moser, Jr." Dave Caldwell.

Dave goes on to list all the birth dates and spouses, marriage dates, etc for John Moser and Anna Lowenberger. I will add them to my files as I don't have all dates.

Johan is listed with his son John, age 36, in the 1920 census for Kidder Co., North Dakota. It says his age is 72. That would make his birth year 1848, rather than 1847. There is also no mention of wife Christine, and according to her death date of 07 May 1936, she should have been there also.
