"What I have is information copied by my great Uncle, Robert Walton Meeks, from [the book] 'Robert Ogden II (1716-1787)' by Edmund Drake Halsey. Unfortunately I do not have a date of birth for Robert Ogden I or a date for his marriage to his first wife, Hannah Crane.

However, Halsey does state that Robert Ogden I was 'collector of the Co. od Essex in 1720' and that he died in 1733, a few months after his own Father, Jonathan Ogden.

Robert Ogden II was born at Elizabethtown October 7, 1716. He married Phebe Hatfield when he was about 20 years old. Phebe, daughter of Matthias Hatfield, was born Nov. 25th, 1720 and died Dec. 22, 1796.

My line then goes through Anna Ogden (b. Dec 29, 1740), daughter of Robert and Phebe Ogden. Anna Married Col. Oliver Spencer.
