Mrs. Lubelle Meyer, 98, former Milton resident, died Saturday night, Dec. 18, in Elgin, Ill., where she had lived since June, 1977.
A descendant of Milton's first settlers, the former Jessie Lubelle Ogden was born Nov. 22, 1884, in Milton and she married Paul F. Meyer on Nov. 23, 1903, in Chicago. He died Nov. 11, 1932.
Mrs. Meyer was a member of the DAR, Original Bridge Club and Eastern Star, of which she was a past matron.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Ted.
Surviving are a son, Elmer of Elgin, Ill., two daughters, Mabelle Hepburn of Janesville and Lurene Harpster of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Albrecht Funeral Home-Milton, with burial in Milton West Cemetery. An Eastern Star service was also conducted.
