The presence of this John Ogden comes from a GenForum post of David E. Sheffield, Aug. 20th 1998, post #99.

He says "I am a descendant of Richard Ogden through his son John Ogden, younger brother of Abigail Ogden Sillman. 'John Ogden came to Fairfield (New Jersey) among the early settlers about the year 1696. He first settled at Cohansey, owned the mill on a branch of the Cohansey called by the early settlers the North Branch, afterwards Mill Creek'. He came from Fairfield CT."
