Obituary:
CLEBURNE - James Claude Herrin, a retired maintenance worker at Thomas Conveyor Co. in Burleson, died Saturday [17th] at a Cleburne hospital. He was 84.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday [20th] at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home in Cleburne. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Herrin was born in Texas and lived in Cleburne for 46 years. He was a member of Granbury Street Church of Christ in Cleburne. His first wife, Ruby Lee Herrin, died in 1978.
Survivors: Wife, Margaret Herrin of Cleburne; daughter, Nita Simmons of Mesquite; two stepdaughters, Juanita Mason and Carla Allison, both of Cleburne; son, Melvin Herrin of Cleburne; three sisters, Estelle Caraway, Velma Pace and Lula Mae Smith, all of Hico; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
